'Geantraí' when translated means 'Lively Music'. This is a hugely popular traditional music show on Ireland's Irish language television channel, TG4. The objective was to create a new contemporary style animation which would appeal to a younger audience while maintaining it's existing catchment group.

The opening was designed to be melodic and inviting. Portrayong a setting of warmth and the raw textured characters commonly found at traditional music sessions throughout Ireland, which are explored within the program. Historically and culturally, the pub session is an integral part of traditional music in ireland. These traditional pub settings was the overriding influence in the make-up and style of the animation.

Musicians and traditional music followers in Ireland come from all walks of life. With the national effort to promote the Irish language and culture the audience is getting younger.
